Common Inquiries
Do we have to eat at the restaurant?
No. Unlike many teahouses in the Khumbu, Dingboche Inn does not require a meal plan. You are welcome to dine with us, but there is no obligation.
What is the elevation and how do I acclimatize?
Dingboche is at 4,400m. We recommend spending 2 to 3 days acclimatizing with gentle hikes, proper rest, and steady hydration. If you feel unwell, descend and seek medical advice promptly.
How warm are the cabins?
Each cabin has a wood stove that provides steady warmth. We also provide quality bedding and warm blankets.
Is there power for charging devices?
Yes, all cabins have electricity and charging outlets.
Do you have hot water?
Hot water for washing is available on request. We do not have en-suite showers.
How do I book a sauna session?
You can request a sauna session at reception upon arrival or contact us in advance. Sessions are subject to availability and weather conditions.
